- Manage of team of seven engineers in the Infrastructure Division with a focus on the electric utility industry
- Follow technical issues at ERCOT for the PUC including DG/DER, ROS and attend ROS subcommittees PLWG and RPG

- Prepare written testimony in cases regarding the routing of new transmission facilities, certificates of convenience and necessity, rate proceedings, and sale/transfer/mergers, including the proposed restructuring of electric utilities, and defended testimony under cross-examination
- Work with industry stakeholders on technical issues relevant to the Commission including investigations of the interaction between pipelines and electric transmission lines, and comparison of cost differences between electrical support structures

Engineering Consultant
- Performed contract work for offshore wind farm developer Baryonyx Corporation to compare project output with demand, estimate wind resource at turbine hub height, and assist with their three offshore projects off the coast of Texas
- Coordinated with project partners and conducted industry outreach
- Wrote and submitted grants to the Department of Energy regarding offshore wind technology development and cost of energy reduction
- Developed capital cost, total cost, and cost of energy models for offshore wind projects and then paired these models with estimates of electricity generation to examine various project configurations
- Provide general consulting services in the areas of data analysis, project management, and project development.
Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. 2005 - 2008
Second Mate, Dynamic Positioning Operator, and Ballast Control Officer
- Stood navigational watch on offshore drilling vessels and with responsibility to determine the precise location of the vessel using electronic, satellite, celestial and terrestrial navigation techniques
- Maintained the vessel’s position on station during drilling operations using the ship’s dynamic positioning system. This system employed Kahlman filtering using real-time on board observations and navigational data to estimate position and attitude
- Maintained the vessel’s stability via determination of deck loads, calculation of list and trim, and execution of proper stability procedures
Texas General Land Office 2002 - 2005
Beach Dune Team Leader
- Led the four-person Beach / Dune Program team in evaluating local government’s beach access and dune protection plans, and providing input on state coastal rules
- Helped create an offshore wind lease program for the State of Texas
- Reviewed beachfront construction and dune protection permits, and geophysical and geochemical permits for compliance with state law
- Wrote grant application to the National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grants program which received $954,000 in federal funding
- Coordinated with state and federal agencies (USACE, USCG, TPWD, THC, USFWS) on the environmental review of oil and gas lease sales, offshore wind lease sales, and seismic projects
